What are Temporary Wireless Alarm Systems?
Temporary wireless fire alarms are self-contained safety systems that communicate through secure radio signals; no fixed wiring or permanent installation is required.
They’re ideal for:
- Short/medium/long-term construction projects of all shapes and sizes.
- Systems as flexible as your site. Add text alert or turnstile ‘free spin’ links.
Start with a modular/compound cover and link the same system to your project.
Each alarm connects seamlessly with the rest of the network, instantly alerting all devices in case of fire. You can expand, relocate, zone or reduce the system in minutes, keeping your setup as flexible as your project.
Frequently Asked Questions
How quickly can a temporary system be installed?
Most temporary systems can be installed and commissioned in just a few hours. For urgent requirements, we offer same-day or next-day emergency deployment across most of the UK.
How quickly can we get a system live?
Most sites can be delivered and commissioned within one working day once on site. Larger, multi-zone systems are typically phased in step with your programme but we are rarely on site for more than 1 day per phased visit.
Do you supply documentation?
Yes, on every install we provide RAMS, installation job sheets and commissioning records to support your CDM and O&M requirements.
What happens if the temporary alarm is accidentally triggered?
If a false alarm occurs, simply reset the system using your control panel. We provide full guidance during setup to help you avoid unnecessary call-outs or disruption.
What do we need to provide for setup?
Your site plan or marked-up drawings, preferred device locations, and your fire plan (alarm strategy, muster points, zones). We’ll propose a device schedule and layout to suit.
What’s the battery strategy?
Devices use long-life batteries with low-battery indication. We’ll advise expected intervals based on live testing intervals and usage, and supply any spares. Avg 2 years under test conditions.
Can temporary systems integrate with existing building systems?
Yes. Our alarms can interface with existing monitoring services, HVAC shutdowns, free spin turnstile operations or sprinkler triggers, ensuring seamless fire response across your setup.
Can this integrate with our existing arrangements?
Yes, options are available for link outputs (e.g. to site monitoring, plant shutdown relays, or security notification). Tell us what you need and we’ll specify compatible hardware.
